Family Crisis Center is a public non-profit agency incorporated in February of 1987. We began as an effort to bring services then available only though Women against Domestic Violence of Idaho Falls closer to our local communities. Since that time, we have developed into a full service agency providing advocacy, support, and resources to Madison, Fremont, Jefferson, and Clark county residents to reduce the number of incidents of domestic violence and sexual assault. We operate under a Board of Directors including representatives from three of the four counties served. With diverse backgrounds, education, and skills, they meet once a month to guide and oversee the four full-time and three part-time staff. The Family Crisis Center serves Madison, Fremont, Jefferson and Clark counties. This coverage area is approximately 5,400 square miles, with a population of over 63,000. We are a founding member of the Upper Valley Task Force against Sexual and Domestic Violence along with Madison County Prosecutor. We developed a Batterers Treatment and Assessment program that is now self sustaining and adds great dimension to our community’s effort to stop domestic violence.
Target Population/Types of Crime Victims Served The target populations of this project are the victims of dating, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.
