Family Crisis Center Services · Safe shelter · 24-hour crisis line. A 24-hour crisis hotline is staffed by Family Crisis Center employees and volunteer advocates. · Crisis intervention services · Immediate on-scene response with law enforcement, personnel · Legal and court advocacy, · Domestic violence, sexual assault and children’s support groups · Professional counseling · Referral to other community service agencies · Community Task Force. Members include 4 county sheriffs, 4 city police chiefs, Child Protective Services, Madison Memorial Hospital, 4 prosecutors, probation and parole, and religious leaders. The Task Force also serves as a forum for evaluating and improving the community response to victims by involving all the victim service providers throughout our area. · Public Awareness involves media campaigns, teaching “Teen Dating Violence” in the surrounding schools in the four counties: Jefferson, Madison, Clark, and Fremont. Domestic violence and Sexual assault teaching and forums done in different departments on the BYUI campus.
